It was a strange sight seeing empty desks and classrooms at Ladera Ranch Middle School, as teachers started the first day of the 2020-21 school year by connecting with their students online.
Teachers and students for all of Capistrano Unified began school virtually on August 18 due to safety standards brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
