Empowering Futures: College and Career Advantage Hosts Successful Career Fair
College and Career Advantage (CCA) made history on Monday, March 18th, by hosting its inaugural Career Fair at San Juan Hills High School. Despite the untimely rain, the event drew an impressive turnout, with over 2,000 attendees and 77 vendors in attendance.
The Career Fair, produced by CCA Director of Student Services Nicole Berkman, provided students with invaluable opportunities to explore diverse career paths and connect with industry professionals within CUSD’s community. Representatives from various industries, colleges, and vocational programs showcased the breadth of career opportunities available to students, sparking curiosity and igniting aspirations.
One notable feature of the event was the hands-on resume review sessions conducted by CCA’s Career Guidance Specialists. Over 100 resumes were reviewed in real-time, providing students with personalized feedback and guidance to enhance their job application materials.
The success of the Career Fair underscored the collaborative efforts of CCA staff and CUSD Futurology, industry partners, and community members. By providing students with exposure to diverse career options and equipping them with the tools and resources they need to succeed, CCA continues to empower futures and shape the next generation of leaders.
As College and Career Advantage looks ahead to future events and initiatives, the impact of the Career Fair will continue to resonate, inspiring students to explore their passions, pursue their goals, and embark on meaningful career journeys.
