The Capistrano Unified School District Food and Nutrition Services Department is pleased to announce, for the 2023-2024 school year, breakfast and lunch meals will be free of charge for all registered Capistrano Unified School District students – regardless of family income. This is in accordance with the California Universal Meals Program and Community Eligibility Provision, allowing meals to be offered at no costs to all students.
All students can eat both breakfast and lunch for free on campus each school day starting August 15, 2023; see school site bell schedule for specific meal times. Snacks will be available for purchase. Students will use their student ID# to ensure program integrity and allow for access to their meal account.
Families are still encouraged to complete the following forms to help ensure their family and the District schools receive all of the state and federal funds and benefits for which they qualify. Information provided on these forms will not be shared or utilized for any other purpose.
- Income Survey – Complete online through Aeries Parent Portal.
- Education Benefit Form (formerly called Meal Application) – Complete online at lunchapplication.com. Paper forms are available upon request.
