Capistrano Unified School District’s teachers, parents, administrators and community members joined together on March 2, 2021, to celebrate Read Across America, a longstanding event encouraging a love of reading.
This year much of the event went virtual, with celebrities, community members and educators sharing their favorite books on the web with children across the world.
Read Across America was started in 1998 by the National Education Association, and continues strong today encouraging reading at all levels.
At Del Obispo Elementary School, educators and community members came together to read to students.
