Five CUSD eighth grade students in the AVID program were recognized for their outstanding achievements in an event at Angel Stadium this week. Julia Phan (Don Juan Avila), Anthony Salgado (Marco Forster), Zoe Campbell (Niguel Hills), Keira McKeon (Shorecliffs) and Tucker Davis (Vista Del Mar) each received AVID Standout Student Awards for Orange County for the performance in the program. AVID is an educational program that equips teachers and schools with the tools and resources they need to help these students succeed on a path to college and career success. Congratuations!
