Becomes Second Women’s Volleyball Player to Receive the Honor as Top Amateur Athlete in US as Top Amateur Athlete in US
Current Stanford University Junior and Aliso Niguel High School Alumna, Kathryn Plummer has been named the 89th James E. Sullivan Award winner. The prestigious award has been presented annually since 1930 by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) to the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States, and aims to recognize athletes who demonstrate qualities of leadership, citizenship, character and sportsmanship, both on and off the field.
