Dear CUSD Students and Families,
The Capistrano Unified School District serves over 41,000 public school students and our teachers, classified staff, and administrators are committed to ensuring that every child receives a high quality core education while feeling safe, welcome, and connected to their school community.
We are committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, tolerance, and human and civil rights for all and we embed these values into our social, emotional, and academic supports for students.
We recognize that national and global events can create fear and tension on our campuses and we monitor student and adult behavior to keep school district campuses safe and welcoming to everyone. We have zero tolerance for acts of hate and intimidation and we address such incidents as soon as possible.
If you are aware of specific acts of hate, I ask you to contact your school principal as soon as possible so they can investigate, address the situation, and provide support for the students involved.
You can also make an anonymous report using the See Something Say Something 24/7 reporting system here.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students and staff safe.
Sincerely,
Dr. Chris Brown
Superintendent
