Tesoro, San Juan Hills and Aliso Niguel High Schools Win at Orange County Academic Decathlon

Tesoro High School won first place overall in its division, won third place in Super Quiz and took home 39 individual medals.

San Juan Hills won second place in their division, first place in Super Quiz, and the “Spirit of OCAD” award, which recognizes the team most committed to sportsmanship, teamwork, school spirit and kindness. San Juan Hill also took home 30 individual medals, tripling their best medal count.

Aliso Niguel, Tesoro and San Juan Hills High Schools participated in the Orange County Academic Decathlon (OCAD), a scholastic contest featuring 10 set events. The program was designed to engage and challenge students of all academic abilities and achievement levels. Teams of Orange County high school students compete for the highest score on multiple-choice exams, speeches, interviews and essay assignments.

Aliso Niguel won fifth place overall in its division, taking home 32 individual medals.
