Today, we are highlighting Linda Connelly, Lead Food Service Professional, Shorecliffs Middle School.
Q: How long have you worked for CUSD?
A: 10 years and 2 months!
Q: Describe your role in Food & Nutrition Services
A: I make sure the process of ordering, preparing and serving meals goes smoothly! I manage our team to ensure we are following food safety guidelines and maintaining a clean kitchen and of course, keeping the kids happy!
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: Seeing the kids excited to eat! Especially when it’s something they really enjoy. I love to get to know the students and their likes and dislikes. Also, greeting and talking with the kids and seeing them smile.
Q: Why is it important for students to have nutritious, filling meals everyday?
A: Our bodies need fuel to learn and grow!
Q: What was your favorite school lunch when you were a student?
A: Pizza!
Q: What is your favorite meal to cook at home?
A: I love to barbecue a steak and make a delicious salad.
