The morning assembly at San Juan Elementary school on Nov. 18 was a very special one, as students waited to find out who was selected for a free Christmas Tree from Farmakis Farms. Each year, the Farmakis Farms in San Juan Capistrano holds a contest for all students to submit a essay on why family is important to them. The submissions are reviewed by the SJE staff, and 20 students are awarded a gift certificate for a free Christmas tree from Farmakis for their family homes.
Farmakis owner Tanya Brown was on hand at the assembly to announce the winners and present them with their gift certificates.
