San Clemente High plants a tree for Arbor Day

In celebration of Arbor Day on April 29, the local chapter of the Citizen’s Climate Education (CCE) held a tree planting ceremony t San Clemente High School. Rick Rodriguez, San Clemente Chamber of Commerce President and co-owner of Rod’s Tree Service, CCE member Donna Vidrine, and Councilman Chris Duncan made brief remarks to assembled students and volunteers about the importance of trees to our climate and community.

SCHS teacher Randlyn Clemons invited the SCHS Garden Club and select students to participate in the tree planting and watering. These students will continue to care for the young tree as part of their weekly activities
