Never too busy to give back to their community, the seniors on the San Clemente football team spent Friday morning at their old elementary schools, greeting the current students at drop-off. The players opened doors and helps students our of their cars, sending them off on their day with a high five and a smile.
The 5-1 Tritons have a bye this weekend, giving them the perfect opportunity for the fun community-building event. Head coach Jaime Ortiz drew inspiration from Instagram, seeing video of another high school team greeting elementary students on Friday mornings. His seniors were more than willing to join the fun, and the elementary schools were happy to accommodate.
