New classroom building at Dana Hills officially opened

While teaching and learning began in the new Dana Hills two-story classroom building on the first day of school, the latest CUSD construction project had its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

CUSD Trustees and administrators, members of the Dana Point and Laguna Niguel city councils, Dana Hills staff and students, and the construction management teams that built the building gathered early in the morning to cut the red ribbon and tour the facility. The modern building houses 16 classrooms on two levels and is used by the school’s history department. It replaced 17 portable classrooms on campus and provides a beautiful landmark on the corner of Stonehill Drive and Golden Lantern. The open-air walkways outside of the classrooms give panoramic views of the Dana Point skyline.
