Westwind Sailing hosted the 4th annual Cardboard Classic and Dinghy Dash during the Dana Point Festival of Whales. The event is a fun-filled, family-oriented day that includes a cardboard boat building contest and race (the Dinghy Dash).
Dignhy Dash teams worked through the morning designing and building their crafts from corrugated cardboard and duct tape before competing in age division races in the afternoon.
This year, students from ANHSTealTown, Capistrano Valley High School, and Dana Hills High School (DHHS) participated in this fun and educational engineering project.
Awards were presented to top racers in each category along with 5 judged awards. Congratulations to DHHS for winning 1st place!
