Capo Valley counselors honored with Re-RAMP certification

Capistrano Valley High School was awarded a Re-Ramp Award by the American School Counselor Association (ACSA) in July. First earning the distinction five years ago, Capo Valley was the only school in the state to be re-certified this year and celebrated at an awards ceremony in October in Riverside.

The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) awards schools with the Recognized ASCA Model Program following an in-depth application process that evaluates school districts’ ability to deliver comprehensive, data-informed school counseling programs.

In the past 20 years, 1309 schools in 48 states have received RAMP designation. This year CVHS was one of:

  • 138 RAMP schools in 28 states
  • 16 re-RAMP schools Nationally
  • 32 RAMP high schools Nationally
  • 33 RAMP schools in California
  • 8 RAMP high schools in California
  • 1 re-RAMP school in California
