The fourth Wellness Room in CUSD held is grand opening on Monday, Oct. 21, with Capistrano Valley cutting the red ribbon on a space for students to handle their mental needs. In partnership with the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) and Children’s Health of Orange County (CHOC), CUSD has built dedicated spaces for students to spend time on quiet reflection or practice coping procedures in times of stress and anxiety.
The space at Capistrano Valley was also funded by a generous donation from Sharon D. Lund. District and Capo Valley administrators welcomed special guest to the unveiling, and to speak on the importance of mental health care for the modern student.
Capistrano Valley joins San Juan Hills, Niguel Hills and Marco Forster as campuses with Wellness Rooms.
