Rich Montgomery, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resource Services, has been named recipient of the 2019 Tracy Gaffey Award by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), Region 17.
The Administrator of the Year Award recognizes school leaders for their excellence in mentoring other administrators, dedication to the profession, and appreciation of the work and importance of educational leadership. Recipients must demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing school programs, be committed to educational quality and student achievement, and show creativity and innovation in dealing with issues facing public education.
“We are proud to recognize Mr. Montgomery for this outstanding achievement. His recognition speaks to the hard work that all of our district leaders commit to daily, on behalf of our young people,” said Superintendent Kirsten Vital.
The ACSA Administrators of the Year awards Ceremony will be held on May 13, 2019 at the Irvine Marriott.
