The CUSD Secondary Honor Concert is an annual highlight for all young musicians in the District. It is the opportunity to showcase their musical talents on the world-class stage at the Segerstrom Concert Hall. All of hours they have spent learning and practicing, honing their skills to convey their passion for music, on display before a captivated audience of family and friends. It is a night where they feel like professional musicians.
The 2026 concert took on a special feel, with a celebration of the voice of America to celebrate the U.S. Semiquincentennial. Over 500 CUSD students performed songs by American composers- from folk traditions passed down through generations, to spirituals rooted in resilience and hope, to the bold orchestral brilliance that paint our wide-open skies and landscapes in sound. In a nation built on innovation, courage, diversity, and collaboration, music education embodies the American spirit.
