Capistrano Valley officially opened its brand new stadium on May 27, the culminating event of years of planning and months of construction. Students, families, and District and local officials were the first to see the new home for Cougar football, soccer, track and field, marching band and cheer programs. The project came in under budget and more than a month ahead of schedule, allowing Capo Valley to hold the 2026 graduation in the brand new space.
The state-of-the-art facility was completely rebuilt from the ground up, featuring:
- A new home grandstand with seating for 2,000 spectators and a modern press box.
- A new visitor grandstand with seating for 750.
- A brand new Musco sports lighting six-pole system, scoreboard and sound system.
- A newly constructed stadium entrance, complete with a ticket booth, concession stand, restrooms, team rooms and storage areas. All decorated in Cougar black and gold.
- The field and track have been fully replaced to provide a high-quality playing surface that promotes athletic performance and safety.
- A 1,500 square-foot weight room to support student-athlete training and development.
- New fencing and landscaping around the entire facility.
