Viejo Elementary School hosted a special two-day Earth Day event in the school’s grant-funded garden, in partnership with OC Waste & Recycling.
During the event, students visited Earth-friendly stations, one class at a time throughout each day.
OC Waste & Recycling shared the positive effects of composting and recycling, and taught students how landfills operate to promote and inspire proper recycling behavior. City of Mission Viejo Councilwoman Trish Kelley joined the fun!
