UNO spreads friendly competition at AVMS lunchtime

The lunch tables at Aliso Viejo Middle School were covered in colorful cards, as the Falcons participated in a school-wide UNO tournament. The school asked for teams of two to signup for the friendly competition, and had 125 join- enough for five tournament brackets.

In the end, sixth-graders Leann and Amytis came out on top, winning their bracket and beating the other champions. AVMS principal Dr. Duarte had one last challenge for them- facing him and CUSD Superintendent Dr. Brown in a champion of champions game. Dr. Brown came by the school on Wednesday afternoon to join with Dr. Duarte again the champs, and the students prevailed once again, keeping their record clean and earning the title of UNO Grand Champions!
