Tesoro High School honors the Class of 2023

Tesoro High School seniors gathered Thursday, June 1 at the school’s Titan Stadium for a commencement ceremony to celebrate their graduation as the Class of 2023.

The Honor Guard and faculty walked in to “Hornpipe” from Water Music, by G.F. Handel, arranged by Richard Meyer, performed by the Tesoro Symphony Orchestra and directed by Yeon Choi and Andy Magana. The graduates followed to “Pomp and Circumstance” by Sir Edward Elgar, composed and arranged by Jack Bullock.

Principal Ken Ezratty welcomed the crowed, and ASB President Jaden Allain led the Pledge of Allegiance, then Natalia Vassillian performed the “Star Spangled Banner” composed by Francis Scott Key.

Titan of the Year Alden Waldeck gave the Commencement Address and then the Tesoro Madrigals, directed by Keith Hancock, performed “For Good” from the musical Wicked, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Scholar of Scholars Nathan Wei gave the Commencement Address and introduced the graduates.

After diplomas were given to the graduates, Principal Ezratty presented the Class of 2023, and Board Trustee Judy Bullockus gave the Acceptance of the Class of 2023. Class President Emma Travis led the turning of the tassel. Finally, the Tesoro Symphony Orchestra performed “On Top of the World” by Brian Balmages for the recessional.
