Hugs, welcomes and a new mascot: The first day of school at Palisades Elementary

Teachers, staff and even the school’s new mascot — Mr. Wave — were on hand at Palisades Elementary School on Tuesday, Aug. 17 to welcome students for the first day of school.

There were smiles, hugs, waving goodbye, and of course, plenty of posing for photos before students went inside their classrooms and got back to the business of learning.
