The second annual CUSD Cares Middle School Intramural Volleyball Tournament took place in January, with three sites hosting regional brackets for the school champions in each grade. San Juan Hills, Tesoro and Capistrano Valley hosted the events, with the schools’ varsity boys and girls players serving as officials.
Each middle school held a preliminary tournament, with boys and girls teams competing for the grade championship. The winners then represented their school in the District tournament, which was split into three divisions:
North: Aliso Viejo, Don Juan Avila, Niguel Hills, Shorecliffs
South: Bernice Ayer, Ladera Ranch, Marco Forster, Newhart
K-8: Arroyo Vista, Esencia, Carl Hankey, Las Flores, Vista Del Mar
