The fall sports season has come to a close, and CUSD schools enjoyed success at all levels. Read on for highlights and accomplishments from across the District.
Aliso Niguel
- All eight varsity teams qualified for the CIF-SS postseason.
- League Champions – Boys Water Polo, Girls Tennis, Girls Flag Football
- Girls tennis team won the CIF-SS Division 1 championship.

Capistrano Valley
- Girls’ Golf – Sea View League champions.
- Girls’ Flag Football – 40 girls participated in the inaugural season and enjoyed every minute.
- Girls Volleyball – Overall improvement from last year. Several girls’ and their parents complimented the new coach and overall positive shift in the VB program culture.
- Girls Tennis – Sea View League runner up. Siena Huang and Skylar Huang won SVL double championship.
- Football – 7-3 regular season record and advanced to the CIF-SS Division 4 quarterfinals. Won first CIF game since 2018.
- Water Polo – Finished in second place in the Sea View League, advanced to the second round of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs.

Dana Hills
- Boys Cross Country- Won the CIF-SS Division 3 championship with the fastest time across all divisions. Won the CIF State Championship, the fifth overall for the program and first since 2009. Evan Noonan won his second-consecutive individual titles in both races. The team went on to finish 10th in the nation at the Nike Cross Nationals, with Noonan finishing 45th.
- Girls Cross Country- Won the CIF-SS Division 3 championship and finished fourth in the CIF State Championship.

San Clemente
- Boys Cross Country – Won the CIF-SS Division 1 championship, and the CIF State Division 1 championship. Finished eighth in the nation at the Nike Cross National Championships in Portland.
- Girls Cross Country – Finished 10th in the CIF-SS Division 1 Championship.
- Football – Won the South Coast League championship. Earned a spot in the CIF-SS Division 1 Championship and finished the season ranked second in Orange County.
- Girls Golf – Finished 3rd Place in South Coast League.
- Surfing – Boys’ Surfing League Champions (27th consecutive); Boys’ & Girls’ won NSSA National Championship in June (3rd consecutive/16th overall).
- Girls Tennis – CIF-SS Division 2 Semifinalists; Nicolle Generaux CIF Individuals.
- Girls Volleyball – 2nd Place South Coast League; advanced to the second round of CIF-SS Division 2 Championship.
- Boys Water Polo – South Coast League Champions – 3rd Consecutive; CIF-SS Division 1 Championship qualifier.

San Juan Hills
- Boys and Girls Cross Country – looking forward to League Finals next Friday 11/3
- Girls’ Golf – Competed in the CIF-SS Team Division 3 Championship for the first time since 2013.
- Girls’ Flag Football – Enjoyed a fun inaugural season, participated in Chargers End of Season tournament to finish the year.
- Girls Tennis – South Coast League runner-up as a team and advancing to CIF-SS Division 1 championship tournament.. Aubrey Meis and Macy McClellan won SCL single championships.
- Football – 9-1 regular season record and reached the semifinals of the CIF-SS Division 3 Championship.
- Water Polo – First CIF playoff game Tuesday 10/31 against Villa Park

Tesoro
- Boys and Girls Cross Country: Both teams were ranked in their respective divisions all year long. Boys team finished sixth and girls team finished 10th in the CIF-SS Division 2 Championship
- Girls Golf: Undefeated regular season and South Coast League Champions. CIF-SS Division 2 Championship participants
- Girls’ Flag Football: The Tesoro girls’ flag football team finished second overall in the South Coast league. The JV team went undefeated in league. The girls loved playing during this inaugural season.
- Girls’ Tennis: Qualified for the CIF-SS Division 1 championship.
- Surf: The girls’ surf team won their third consecutive league title (21-23). The boys’ team had a great season as well, with only one loss and one tie.
